The Estate

Nestled in the valley amidst the ranges of BRT Hills, this 120 acres property boasts of green tranquil surroundings tucked away far from the chaos & pollution of city life. This is a story of one man called Gautam Kadam, director of Tranquil Timberlands Pvt Ltd, the company that promotes timber plantations. These plantations are the result of several years of experiments with a particular type of tree called the Melia Dubia, while his prime objective was to preserve the environment by saving the forest’s flora & fauna and to offset carbon emissions by reforestation through his timber projects.

His passion for nature & wild life, dedication, relentless efforts and six years of solitary life have transformed the semi arid wastelands into a fascinating expanse of dense foliage and timber, creating a safe haven for many of the exotic fauna in the region.

The venture that originally set out to preserve the fragile bio-diversity around the hills, has now partnered with Manor Hospitalities to transform this estate into a unique eco destination, opening the doors to the discerning nature & wildlife enthusiast. Eco-travellers can now experience the simple pleasures that nature has to offer and also contribute to our responsible and environmentally sustainable activities.

The attractions

The pond nearby, created solely for the purpose of providing water to the wild animals, is the main attraction at this resort. You get to see wild elephants, the bison, wild boar, the spotted deer and at times, the elusive panther too, all within a few 100 yards from the cottages particularly during the summer months from a watch tower built exclusively for this purpose. This lends a sense of excitement to be in such close proximity to the wild animals & yet feel safe within the surroundings of the property.

Laze around with a book in a hammock, soaking in nature or choose to explore trekking trails into the mountains, each promising a new adventure. These trails are chosen with utmost care so as not to disturb the natural environment. You can also watch the wild animals visiting the ‘salt lick’ at the nearby pond. The abundance of flora and fauna you discover here amidst the deciduous forests is characterized by its sensitive bio-diversity. The spectacular views of the surrounding hills are simply captivating with the ephemeral clouds gently drifting over them.
